More 12 Days of Christmas projects

Here are a couple more of the 12 Days of Christmas projects over at Scraptastical Kreations.

For the 5th day of Christmas, I altered a journal.  So easy and so useful!  Used the Christmas tree from the Here Comes Santa Claus file. http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_159/Here-Comes-Santa.htm

For the 6th Day of Christmas I made a very glittery and sweet pocket.  Used the Pocket Full of Love, http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_27/Pocket-Full-of-Love.htm, and the Gingerbread Cheer file, http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_80/Gingerbread-Cheer.htm.

For the 7th Day of Christmas I made a penguin treat box that holds some hot chocolate and marshmallows.  Used the shovel penguin, without the shovel from the Snow Many Memories set (http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_124/Snow-Many-Memories.htm).

For the 8th Day of Christmas, I made a winter wand.  Used the star from the Dear Santa tree (http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_129/Dear-Santa.htm) and the snowman from the Snow Buddies file (http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_155/Snow-Buddies-Like-Us.htm).

I apologize but I was not able to finish out the 12 Days of Christmas.  Make sure you check out the other Design Team Member's projects!  It was so much fun thinking out of the box for this!  I loved doing it.

Thankful Banner

Hi.  I have created a really quick banner for you to see.  It will go up at my mom's house tomorrow for Thanksgiving.  Hope you like it.  It didn't take me long to make it.  Used the Banner Blitz file from Scraptastical Kreations.  Have you checked out their patterns?  Very cute!  I also used the Rosette die from Tim Holtz in my Sizzix Big Shot!  I kept it very simple.  I didn't think it needed anything else.

Here's a close-up of the banner.  Also used the Mickey Font cartridge with my Cricut for the letters.

This Week

Hello friends!  I have a couple of things to show you this week.  I made a layout of someone that I am thankful for on Friday.  It's of my hubby!  Without him, I don't know where I would be. I used files from Scraptastical Designs for these projects.

I am also sharing a flower jar that I altered on Saturday. I made a scallop tag for the front with a bear on it.  Decorated the top with a large flower resembling a poinsettia.  This was fun to do!

Alter Challenge

This week our challenge at Scraptastical Kreations was to alter an item laying around the house. I found a plate charger I wanted to play with. It was gold so the first thing I did was spray painted it black. Once that dried, the rest took me all of 30 minutes to create!  It was so simple.  I used the December bear and the title from the Calender Cuties file ( http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_76/Calendar-Cuties.htm ). I also used the Christmas tree from the Dear Santa file ( http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_129/Dear-Santa.htm ). This was so much fun!  I think I'm making a snow man scene next.

This week for my Saturday Post over at Scraptastical Kreations, I made a 2-page layout. I used the haunted house from A Haunted Halloween ( http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_62/A-Haunted-Halloween.htm ), and the October bear from the Calender Cuties (http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_76/Calendar-Cuties.htm ). This was so much fun to make! The Haunted House was so easy to put together and didn't come with too many parts to cut. I'm lazy sometimes and I don't like cutting out a thousand pieces for one paper piecing! LOL

Trick or Treat anyone?

Hi.  The weather out here (Texas) has been beautiful lately.  It's still a little warm for fall but I'm putting myself in the Halloween spirit by making the decorations myself.

This past week, I made some treat bags to go along with the treat boxes I've already created.  Used the same files for these, the Sophisticated Scallops and Too Cute to Spook files from Scraptastical Kreations.  They are so cute!  Wish I had tons of time to make a lot more of these!

Halloween Treat Boxes

Continuing with the Halloween theme... I made some treat boxes for my niece and nephews.  I love how these turned out!  I used the Sizzix French Fry Box die for the box.  http://www.sizzix.com/product/655382/sizzix-bigz-xl-die-box-french-fry It's on sale this week!  The boxes are so easy to put together.  Also used the Ghost in Pumpkin from the Too Cute to Spook file ( http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_108/Too-Cute-to-Spook.htm ) and the Sophisticated Scallops file ( http://www.scraptasticalkreations.com/item_68/Sophisticated-Scallops.htm ) at Scraptastical Kreations.  Hope they like them!!!

Halloween Banner

Since we are quickly approaching Halloween, I have decided that most of my projects will be Halloween decorations and party ideas. Starting off, I have made a banner. I used the Sophisticated Scallops file at Scraptastical Kreations to create the pennants. The monsters were made with the Monsters R Us file. Banners are so much fun to create! Below I have taken a close-up pic of some of the monsters.

Friday DT Challenge at Scraptastical Kreations

This week our challenge is to use the colors pink, white and chocolate.  These are my 2nd set of colors to play with.  I created a layout using the Baked with Love gingerbread file.  This was so much fun!  These little gingerbreads were so easy to construct.  One of my favorite files thus far.  The paper I used is from My Mind's Eye and is the Love Nest collection.  It is glittered!  I used the polka dot papers in the pack.  Page 1 is below.

This is page 2 (shown below).

Sorry about the bad pictures. I took these with my cell phone and really bad lighting.

Love layout

Just wanted to share with you quickly a layout I had created a couple of weeks ago.  I love this layout.  It turned out so cute.  I have this up in my living room on a photo easel.  This is a photo of my husband and I in January.  The flowers make it too thick for a scrapbook album or even a shadow frame.  I shouldn't have made them so thick! It looks really pretty on the easel though.  It was so much fun to make.  It came along so easily... don't you love it when that happens?  These papers are my favorite to work with, the worded paper and the polka dot paper.  The berries are from a long stem I bought.  I tore, distressed and curled the papers.  Love doing this!

All flowers were made with the Flower #3 from the Elegant Florarl file.

Hope you guys like it.  I had so much fun making this layout.

Scraptastical Kreations DT Challenge

Hi!  This is my first official design team post for Scraptastical Kreations.  The challenge this week is to use a song title or song lyrics in your layout.  I chose to use a song title... "Angel Baby" by Rosie and the Originals.  This is one of my favorite songs of all time.  I used the Angelic Bear and the flower # 3 from the Elegant Florals file to create the roses.

Hope you like it!  I had a lot of fun making this layout.

First Blog Post

Hello.  This is my first blog post.  I wanted to share with you a set of flowers I made for the 4th of July.  I have been very busy lately creating.  I made these with cardstock and they have each been inked, rolled and centered with stamen.  They were cut with the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, which is my favorite die.  I use it for most of my flowers!  I hope you like them.

Patriotic Flower Set
